Get startedIn Nigeria one unit sends one SMS of up to 160 characters. Longer messages are split into 153-character segments and each segment costs one unit.
You are charged when a message is submitted to the network, not when it arrives. That includes messages a network blocks, numbers registered on DND, numbers that are not in service, and anything else that fails after we hand it over. Our SMS partner charges us for every message submitted whether it is delivered or not, so none of it is refundable. Sending a test to your own number before a large campaign is the cheapest way to catch a problem.
Sendam sends on the standard promotional bulk SMS route. Nigerian networks do not deliver promotional messages to numbers registered on Do Not Disturb, so those recipients will not receive your message, and your units are still deducted for them.
Transactional and OTP delivery, which is the route that reaches DND numbers, is not available yet. It is coming soon, and this page will say so when it is live.
Campaigns show the sender ID you register, not ours. SENDAM is reserved for Sendam system messages, so register your own before your first campaign.
